Publisher review:
Little Snitch protects your privacy by preventing the transmission of your personal data. The application detects any attempt to incoming or outgoing connection and lets you choose what to do: allow / deny the connection or defining rules for future connection attempts similar. Very discreet, Little Snitch runs in the background and can also detect viruses, trojans and other malicious hosts.

Little Snitch is a small program taking place in the menu bar, which once activated can know which software try to access the web. When it detects an attempted connection it displays a message giving the choice to accept or refuse access and to define if it is just once or indefinitely. It can also accept or refuse any default.

At first the incessant messages (and yes a lot of software to connect to the web without asking!) Are quite difficult, but once established connections by default, the user can use his software while preserving send information about its system.
Finally, it keeps an eye on the traffic, showing for example the last connection attempts.

  • 64-bit processor
